Who we are
UWC Market is an independent student marketplace directory operated by Funnlr (funnlr.co.za). We are not affiliated with the University of the Western Cape. For any privacy request, contact us at hello@funnlr.co.za.
What we collect
From sellers only: your business name, category, description, a photo (and video on premium), your location on or around campus, whether you deliver, your WhatsApp number, your contact email, and your payment status. Buyers browse without an account, so we don't collect personal information from buyers.
Why we collect it
To create and display your listing, let buyers contact you, process your listing payment, and send you a private link to manage your listing. We only collect what we need for these purposes.
What's public and what isn't
Your business details, photo and WhatsApp number are shown publicly so buyers can reach you. Your email address is never shown publicly — it's used only for managing your listing and important notices.
Payments
Listing fees are processed by Yoco, a South African payment provider. We don't store your card details — Yoco handles that securely.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing hello@funnlr.co.za. Cancelling your listing removes it from the directory.
